Job summary

DHA, Housing Solutions for North Texas, based in Dallas, is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to support the Master Electrician in maintaining, repairing, and upgrading electrical systems across DHA's rental housing and non-residential properties.

The role requires a Texas Journeyman license, at least one year of experience, and a commitment to safety and quality. DHA offers a 4-day or 4.5-day work week, generous PTO, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, and comprehensive health benefits.

Qualifications

Must hold a current Texas Journeyman Electrician license.
Minimum of 1 year as Journeyman Electrician.
Progress toward Texas Master Electrician license.
Valid Texas driver’s license.
Ability to perform essential functions safely and effectively.
Strong communication and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems under the direction of the Master Electrician.
Perform service and preventive maintenance on backup power generators.
Install, troubleshoot, and repair exterior lighting and building security lighting.
Maintain and repair lighting and power distribution in office buildings and non-residential properties.
Install and maintain electrical feeders and connections for HVAC, UPS, transformers, and distribution panels.
Replace and repair switches, breakers, outlets, fixtures, and related components per codes.
Ensure safe, reliable lighting for recreational areas and related equipment.
Respond to maintenance requests for electrical issues beyond basic scope.
Diagnose and repair electrical problems in sump pumps, boiler systems, and other equipment.
