Job summary

Core Group Resources seeks experienced Journeyman Electricians to install, wire, and commission industrial conveyor and automated material-handling systems. This hands-on role requires working from electrical drawings while adhering to NEC requirements, site procedures, and OSHA safety standards.

Experience with Intelligrated/IntelliQ, Dematic, Vanderlande, Honeywell, or similar systems is highly valued. Applicants should be prepared for overtime and extended shifts as project schedules require.

Qualifications

Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians to support the installation, wiring, and commissioning of industrial conveyor and automated material-handling systems. This is a hands-on, field-focused role for electricians who can work independently from electrical drawings while maintaining strict adherence to NEC requirements, site procedures, and OSHA safety standards. Experience with automated conveyor platforms such as Intelligrated (IntelliQ), Dematic, Vanderlande, Honeywell, or similar systems is highly valued.

Responsibilities
  • Install and wire industrial conveyor and automated material-handling systems.
  • Perform electrical installation and wiring of conveyor motors, control panels, junction boxes, sensors, photo eyes, disconnects, and related equipment.
  • Install and terminate power and control wiring.
  • Bend, install, and route EMT and rigid conduit as required.
  • Pull wire and cable throughout conveyor and equipment systems.
  • Make electrical terminations at motors, panels, disconnects, and field devices.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and startup of conveyor equipment.
  • Verify proper wiring and connections prior to energization and commissioning.
  • Coordinate with electricians, mechanical installers, controls technicians, and project supervision.
Requirements
  • Journeyman-level industrial or commercial electrical experience.
  • Ability to read electrical prints and schematics and work independently from drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of motor and equipment wiring.
  • Ability to bend conduit, pull wire, make terminations, and troubleshoot electrical installations.
  • Experience in conveyor systems, distribution centers, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, or automated material-handling environments is preferred.
  • Experience with Intelligrated / IntelliQ or comparable conveyor systems (e.g., Dematic, Vanderlande, Honeywell, Hytrol, Siemens; automated distribution/fulfillment centers; sortation/package handling systems) highly desirable.
  • Nice to have: Experience with low-voltage controls, sensors, photo eyes, and conveyor field devices.
  • Comfortable working around active construction and industrial equipment.
  • Must follow all required PPE and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or extended shifts as project schedules require.
