Job summary

Facility Solutions Group, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to plan layouts, install and repair wiring, fixtures, and control equipment. The role involves mentoring Apprentice Electricians and upholding our core values through excellent customer service and safety.

You will read blueprints, ensure compliance with local codes, and work from ladders or rooftops to complete installations or repairs. A valid state license is preferred but not required; strong communication skills are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Three to five years of field experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Current electrician’s license preferred but not required.
• Strong Verbal and written communications and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams or blueprints.
• Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste and ensure safety.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring, equipment, or fixtures per specifications.
• Installs control and distribution equipment including switches and panels.
• Repairs faulty equipment or systems.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install or repair wiring.
• Advise management on potential hazards of equipment.
• Maintain current electrician license as required.

Job description

Overview

As a Journeyman Electrician, you will plan layouts, install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. The ideal candidate will mentor and develop Apprentice Electricians as well as promote the core values of FSG through excellent customer service and assuring the safety of all work.

Responsibilities

• Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
• Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications, safety codes and local electrical codes.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels; installs Buss, Busbar, electrical feeders, power systems and/or switchgear.
• Repairs faulty equipment or systems.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Meets attendance standards and complies with late/absence notification procedures.
• Maintain current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree
• Current Electrician’s License preferred but not required.
• Three to five years’ experience in the field
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to multitask while staying organized
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Positive customer service skills
• Experience in lighting is a plus!

Pay Range

USD $31.00 - USD $35.00 /Hr.
