Responsibilities

• Install, repair, calibrate, and troubleshoot electrical devices, equipment, and circuits including motors, switches, control panels, breakers, receptacles, controls, VFDs, and conduit wiring.
• Work directly with VFDs, switchgear, and motors at voltages ranging from 120 to 480V and 4160 to 25kV.
• Read and interpret blueprints and online drawings to plan and perform tasks within job scope.
• Measure, cut, bend, and install fittings, switches, control fixtures, and wire.
• Bend and install EMT, rigid, and PVC conduit from 3/4 inch to 4 inch.
• Terminate inside transformers, switchgear, lighting control panels, and panels.
• Install electrical components to current NEC code and perform related duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate has experience working in fast-paced environments, is dependable, and is confident in both the technical and leadership aspects of the role.

Duties

• Install, repair, calibrate, and troubleshoot electrical devices, equipment, and circuits including motors, switches, control panels, circuit breakers, receptacles, controls, VFDs, and conduit wire
• Work directly with VFDs, switchgear, and motors at voltages ranging from 120 to 480V and 4160 to 25kV
• Read and interpret blueprints and online drawings to plan and perform tasks within job scope
• Measure, cut, bend, and install fittings, switches, control fixtures, and wire

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems from 24VDC to 120/277-480/4160/25kV AC with a strong background in troubleshooting motor controls, drives, and components
• Comprehensive understanding of NFPA 70E and lockout/tagout practices
• Knowledge of medium voltage power distribution systems
• Ability to execute job tasks effectively with minimal supervision

Physical Demands

• Stand and walk up to 12 hours a day, including over varied and uneven terrain
• Lift, push, and carry a minimum of 35 lbs including up and down stairs
• Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolds, and other high structures
• Bend, stoop, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist, and crawl for extended periods
• Wear personal protective equipment
