We Power America is seeking electricians for Des Moines, IA, with opportunities for journey level and supervisory roles on commercial and industrial projects.

Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, reading blueprints, and ensuring compliance with codes. The team collaborates with engineers and other trades, with on-call and overtime opportunities. Safety protocols, including lockout/tagout, are emphasized for secure, compliant work sites.

Responsibilities

• Installation and maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings, including wiring, panels, circuits, motors, and equipment.
• Troubleshooting and repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, using tools and techniques to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
• Compliance with codes and standards: Ensure all electrical work adheres to local, state, and federal electrical codes, safety standards, and building regulations.
• Blueprint interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations and upgrades.
• System upgrades and modifications: Upgrade and modify existing electrical systems to improve performance or meet new requirements.
• Safety protocols: Adhere to strict safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other contractors, engineers, and team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Preventive maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Emergency response: Provide on-call support for emergency electrical repairs, ensuring quick response and resolution of critical issues.
