Job summary

Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. is seeking a journeyman electrician to perform installation, maintenance and repair in commercial and healthcare settings. You will read blueprints, install wiring and switchboards, and mentor apprentices as part of a safety-focused team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of journeyman experience, a valid driver's license, and solid NEC knowledge, with Kentucky license preferred (not required). This on-site role offers stability with a respected regional contractor.

Qualifications

• Kentucky electrical license preferred (not required).
• 5+ years of journeyman electrician experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Own basic hand tools.
• Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and local codes.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installation, maintenance, and repair in commercial and healthcare environments.
• Install wiring, conduit, fittings, cable trays, and related components.
• Troubleshoot and complete electrical circuits.
• Install transformers, motor controls, switchboards, and lighting systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Train and mentor electrical apprentices and helpers.
• Operate tools and equipment safely, following OSHA safety standards.
