Journeyman Electrician

Pneumatech provides design, installation and maintenance of process control systems to our partners in the oil and gas industry. Quality systems and measurement accuracy are critical to improving efficiency, reducing costs and verifying production.

Job Description & Summary

This position is responsible for assisting in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems for clients as assigned. The Journeyman Electrician will work under the supervision of a Master Electrician. Work is often outdoors and conditions range from frigid to hot temperatures, high winds, flying dust, slipping hazards, and exposure to loud noise from heavy equipment and machinery.

Job Functions & Responsibilities

• Learn and adhere to Pneumatech’s safety policies and procedures.
• Troubleshooting & problem solving; diagnosing complex electrical systems and equipment
• Quality Control; ensuring all work is performed to a high standard of quality
• Communication and collaboration with other techs and supervisors to ensure projects are being completed on time. Providing project updates and status reports
• Ensuring safety in the workplace by following safety protocols and procedures, wearing appropriate safety equipment, and identifying potential hazards
• Direct project team leads throughout break fixes and project completion
• Knowledgeable of NEC and OSHA standards
• Must have people skills and task prioritizing skills
• Maintain tools, vehicle, equipment, and keep parts and supplies in order.

Education, Experience and Skills Required

• Current Texas Journeyman License
• Minimum 1-year electrical experience (2+ years of electrical experience preferred)
• Previous oilfield experience and knowledge is preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED or higher level
• Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.)
• Good communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Reading skills (basic instructional and technical information)
• Must have a clean driving record

Job Type:

Full-Time, Monday - Friday with possible Weekend Callouts
