Job summary

We Power America in Bridgeport, CT is seeking experienced commercial and industrial electricians. We especially need foreman and supervisory level Journeyman electricians to lead projects and ensure high quality installations.

Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, reading blueprints and schematics, adhering to codes and safety standards, and coordinating with engineers and other trades.

Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings, including wiring, panels, circuits, motors, and equipment.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues using a variety of tools and techniques to resolve problems efficiently.
• Compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes, safety standards, and building regulations.
• Blueprint interpretation: reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute installations and upgrades.
• System upgrades and modifications to improve performance or meet new requirements.
• Adherence to safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, to ensure a safe work environment.
• Collaboration with other contractors, engineers, and team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency.
• Emergency on-call responses for critical electrical repairs.

Job Responsibilities For Commercial And Industrial Electrician

• Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings, including wiring, panels, circuits, motors, and equipment.
• Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, using a variety of tools and techniques to identify and resolve problems efficiently.

• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency.
• Emergency Response: Provide on-call support for emergency electrical repairs, ensuring quick response and resolution of critical issues.
