Job summary

We Power America in Idaho is hiring experienced electricians for commercial and industrial projects in Pocatello. Foremen and supervisory Journeyman electricians are especially sought to lead teams on high-profile installations.

Positions include competitive pay, employer-paid benefits, raises, and opportunities to advance through training. You will perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensure compliance with codes while coordinating with engineers and other trades on site.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience supervising electrical crews on commercial/industrial sites.
• Journeyman license or equivalent certification required.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities in electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial/industrial settings.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate tools and methods.
• Ensure work complies with local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for installations and upgrades.
• Upgrade and modify existing systems to meet new requirements and improve performance.
• Follow safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures on all sites.
• Collaborate with engineers, other contractors, and team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Provide on-call support for emergency electrical repairs.

Job Responsibilities For Commercial And Industrial Electrician

• Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings, including wiring, panels, circuits, motors, and equipment.
• Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, using a variety of tools and techniques to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
• Compliance with Codes and Standards: Ensure all electrical work adheres to local, state, and federal electrical codes, safety standards, and building regulations.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations and upgrades. System Upgrades and Modifications: Upgrade and modify existing electrical systems to improve performance or meet new requirements, such as adding outlets or equipment.
• Safety Protocols: Adhere to strict safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, to ensure the safety of the work environment. Collaboration: Work closely with other contractors, engineers, and team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency.
