Job summary

Assistance Technique Internationale is seeking a Journeyman Electrician for our Albany, Oregon facility. This night-shift role runs Tuesday through Friday, 5:00 PM–5:00 AM, with relocation assistance for ideal candidates.

You will troubleshoot, maintain, test, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including PLCs, motors, drives, VFDs, transformers, and control panels, ensuring production goals are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years electrician experience in industrial/manufacturing/processing industries.
• Experience with 3 phase, 480V power distribution.
• Must hold one of the listed electrical licenses.

Responsibilities

• Read electrical schematics and PLC ladder logic to troubleshoot/mrepair equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and controls; read relay, ladder logic, and schematics.
• Communicate with equipment controllers via computer networks.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance per instructions; follow NFPA 70E safety rules.
• Use test equipment, scopes, power tools, and related gear.
• Work on PLCs, motors, generators, transformers, and control panels.

We are currently seeking a Journeyman Electrician to work in our 34th Avenue Albany, OR Operations facility. This is a night-shift role, working Tuesday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Specific days may vary to support operational and business needs. Relocation assistance will be available to the ideal candidate.

There will be plenty of day-to-day work variety in this position. Your primary responsibility will be to troubleshoot, maintain, test and repair electrically powered or controlled electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic machines, systems and components. You will also work on equipment which may include PLCs, AC and DC motors and generators, SCR\'s, VFD\'s, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic controls, control panels, starters, switches, lighting equipment, power distribution and control circuits, conduits, and fittings.

A successful Journeyman will be a self-starter and be self-motivated. This role is instrumental in providing maintenance, repair, and support to each department so they can meet production goals, objectives and customer expectations. To accomplish this, you\'ll work collaboratively with Operations and all departments across the plant, to provide expertise on a variety of work orders.

Responsibilities

• Read electrical schematics and PLC ladder logic diagrams to troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and controls; ability to read and understand relay, ladder logic, and schematic diagrams.
• Possess good computer skills and knowledge of networking principles in order to communicate with equipment controllers.
• Follow written instructions to perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks. Working knowledge of safe electrical work practices, including requirements of NFPA 70E.
• Use various test equipment and hand tools including, but not limited to, electrical test instruments, computers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, high voltage test equipment, power hand drills, grinders, drill and cutting press welding equipment, pipe threading machine, soldering equipment, pipe benders, safety equipment, and miscellaneous hand tools.
• Work on equipment which may include PLCs, AC and DC motors and generators, SCR\'s, VFD\'s, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic controls, control panels, starters, switches, lighting equipment.

Basic Qualifications

• A minimum of 4 years of electrician work experience in industrial, manufacturing, and/or processing industries with a specialty in 3 phase, 480V power distribution system.
• Requires one of the following Electrical Licenses:
• General Journeyman (J)
• Limited Supervising Electrician (PS)
• Limited Journeyman Manufactured Plant (PJ)
• General Supervising Electrician (S)

Preferences

• Prior experience with computerized maintenance management systems; knowledge of National Electrical Codes; knowledge of electronics, vacuum technology, hydraulics, mechanics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and controls; ability to read and understand relay, ladder logic, and schematic diagrams.
• Must have experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems and must have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
