Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Abilene, TX is seeking a skilled construction worker to plan, lay out and install forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts for concrete structures in accordance with plans, specs, codes and standards.

This role requires reading prints, following plans, using hand and power tools, and working outdoors with possible overtime. Candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets prints, drawings, plans and specs and visualizes 3D objects from plans.
• Understands, follows and transmits written and oral instructions; communicates with management/supervision.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and layout/measurement devices.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret prints, drawings, plans and specifications and visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
• Constructs, erects, installs and repairs structures, scaffolding and framework using hand and power tools.
• Measure, cut, assemble and install forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts; install forms per specifications.
• Erect built-in-place or prefabricated forms; maintain dimensions; brace forms with supports.
• Pour concrete into finished forms and finish surfaces per specs; install related items.
• Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, time and resources needed for work.
• Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with plans and specs; identify and fix deficiencies.
