Job summary

Skillit is hiring skilled Carpenters and Concrete Carpenters (journeyman+) for projects across select U.S. cities, including Columbus, OH. The roles cover framing, formwork, and finishing, with emphasis on blueprint interpretation and safety.

This is on-site, multi-market work requiring ability to read specifications and work with varied tools. You will read plans, use power and hand tools, lift up to 200 lbs, and maintain high safety standards while delivering quality carpentry work.

Qualifications

• Journeyman+ carpentry skills required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to work with tools, such as, power and non-powered hand tools.
• Willing and able to follow instructions and ask clarifying questions.
• Ability to handle materials that can weigh up to 200 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow blueprints and project specifications for carpentry tasks.
• Perform various carpentry tasks such as framing, installing structures, and finishing work.
• Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines at all times.
• Use a variety of tools, both powered and non-powered, effectively and safely.
• Seek clarification and ask questions as needed to ensure accurate work.
• Lift and handle materials with care and safety.
• Pay close attention to detail in all carpentry tasks to ensure quality workmanship.
