Archer, in collaboration with TekSynap, seeks a Journeyman Computer User Support Specialist to support the US Air Force, 53rd Wing at Nellis AFB, NV.

You will provide day-to-day IT end-user support, install and upgrade software, and configure hardware while adhering to SAP/SCI policies. A TS/SCI clearance and polygraph willingness are required; travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• BS degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred.
• 3–5 years of IT experience required.
• Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support for technical issues via phone, email, and in-person requests.
• Install and support commercial software and upgrades; update resolution databases.
• Configure hardware/software per computing standards and provide client support for network/desktop.

This position will support activities within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, such as HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Military Compartments efforts. The position will provide "day-to-day" support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
• Software installation and support of commercial software and related upgrades
• Update solutions database with applicable resolutions
• Problem solving, hardware/software installation and configuration based on computing standards, and client support for all network and desktop
• Monitors and enforces all IT policies and procedures
• Assist with setting up new users in IDAM and multiple level security LDAP profiles
• Installs and configures computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers, scanners, and related hardware
• Maintains, upgrades and repairs PCs/laptops and Window desktop applications for all systems.

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Active IAM I certification
• Minimum of three to five (3 - 5) years of experience in information technology or a related field
• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience preferred
• Prior performance in roles such as System, Network Administrator or Information Technology/Assurance Specialists
• Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information
• Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00. The salary range displayed is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
