Job summary

Next 150 Construction Services is seeking a Carpenter Journeyman in Melbourne, FL. You will perform basic installation of materials on construction sites and support safety and functionality on site. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of carpentry experience; OSHA 10 is recommended and the company can assist with certification.

You must be able to work in a team and in challenging weather. Salary will be determined based on location, skills, and experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of carpentry experience.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• OSHA 10 hour certified recommended; Next 150 Construction will assist with obtaining this certification if necessary.
• Proof of certificates, degrees, etc. upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Install items related to job site safety and functionality including safety rails, toe boards, ramps, temporary walls, temporary enclosures, elevator protection, decks for construction trailers.
• Build planning tables.
• Hang safety signs.
• Cover holes or open areas that are safety hazards.
• Mount Smartboards and TVs in job site trailers.
• Hang shelving in job site trailers.
• Reporting all safety incidents & injuries to Foreperson and Safety Leader.
• Any scope of work outside of the above listed shall be planned, documented, and approved by Foreperson, Safety & Management.
