Job summary

Valcourt Group in California seeks a skilled carpenter to inspect, repair, install, modify, rebuild, and maintain woodwork and related structures on-site. A strong ability to read plans and specs, and to lead others on complex tasks is essential.

Duties

• Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, rebuilds, constructs, and maintains woodwork and other related structures.

Physical / Mental Requirements

• Familiar with a variety of carpentry concepts, practices, and procedures within the carpentry field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Familiar with tools, materials and supplies required to complete tasks.
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
• Directs and leads the work of others. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
• Requires standard communication skills (written/verbal/reading).
• Requires all hand-held tools and most power tools.
• Able to lift and hold / move 100 pounds.
• Must be able to solve advanced math principals to produce sufficient problem solving for carpentry.
• Able to traverse ladders (up and down including extension ladder), scaffolding and roofs.
• Must be able to read plans and specs.
