We are currently seeking Journeymen Electrician for our Pharr, TX location.
Perform journeyman level installation, repair, assembly and maintenance of electrical equipment and products. Work involves installing and/or replacing electrical products, apparatus and components.
Education / Licensure:
- High School diploma, GED or Higher Education required. Technical or trade courses preferred.
- Current electrical city or state (Texas) certification required.
- Must be able to travel between facilities as needed.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work requires experience in the installation and repair of Electrical products and fixtures, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
- Installs, maintains and repairs a wide variety of electrical systems including, but not limited to, electrical motors, generators, circuit breakers, outlets, fixtures, fittings, conduit, wiring, timers, starters and all lighting.
- Ensures system complies with electrical codes.
- Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
- Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
- Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
- Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of state and local electrical codes.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to understand and communicate in a proper manner on email, text, or phone.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ongoing education, completion of a formal apprenticeship, or valid journeyman electrician’s license.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
- Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
- Must be physically capable of all mentioned duties.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Work minimum 8 hours a day.
- Drive for extended periods of time throughout the day.
- Must possess a valid Driver's license.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
