Chitra Productions, LLC is seeking an experienced Joint Targeting Curriculum Developer / Instructional Systems Designer to support the Joint Targeting School (JTS) at Dam Neck Annex, Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The successful candidate will design, develop, update, and maintain classroom, web-based, and blended-learning curriculum supporting Joint Targeting education and training.

• Experience with eLearning, curriculum development, and courseware authoring.
• Three+ years as an Instructional Systems Designer for complex courseware.
• Three+ years eLearning in a military training environment.
• Three+ years LMS experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, update, and maintain Joint Targeting classroom and online curriculum.
• Maintain, convert, and modify existing distributed-learning modules.
• Develop instructor-led, self-paced virtual, web-based, and blended-learning products.
• Apply adult learning theory, ISD methodologies, Bloom's Revised Taxonomy, and applicable military standards.
• Apply the ADDIE process to curriculum development.
• Develop and maintain course design documents and instructional storyboards.
• Collaborate with instructors, course managers, curriculum managers, and SMEs.
• Develop and update instructor guides, student guides, visuals, presentations, and job aids.
• Develop and revise assessments and test items aligned with objectives.
• Conduct QA reviews and beta testing of online products.
• Maintain content management and version control.
• Support curriculum reviews and improvements to instructional content.
• Maintain instructional materials on Government information systems.

Position Summary

Chitra Productions, LLC is seeking an experienced Joint Targeting Curriculum Developer / Instructional Systems Designer to support the Joint Targeting School (JTS) at Dam Neck Annex, Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The successful candidate will design, develop, update, and maintain classroom, web-based, and blended-learning curriculum supporting Joint Targeting education and training. The position will collaborate closely with JTS course managers, instructors, training developers, and Subject Matter Experts to translate complex Joint Targeting content into effective adult-learning products. The role includes development of online modules, course design documents, storyboards, instructor and student guides, presentations, assessments, and other instructional support materials.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, update, and maintain Joint Targeting classroom and online curriculum.
• Maintain, convert, and modify existing distributed-learning modules.
• Develop instructor-led, self-paced virtual, web-based, and blended-learning products.
• Apply adult learning theory, Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies, Bloom's Revised Taxonomy, and applicable military instructional standards.
• Apply the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) process to curriculum development.
• Develop and maintain course design documents and detailed instructional storyboards.
• Collaborate with instructors, course managers, curriculum managers, and other SMEs.
• Develop and update instructor guides, student guides, visual aids, presentations, graphics, checklists, job aids, and other instructional support materials.
• Develop and revise assessments and test items aligned with established learning objectives.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and beta testing of online instructional products.
• Maintain appropriate content management and version control.
• Support recurring curriculum reviews and recommend improvements to instructional content and delivery.
• Maintain instructional products and supporting documentation on Government information systems.
• Ensure online products function appropriately within Government learning environments.

Job Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate success in three or more of the following areas:

• At least four years of experience in joint training.
• Knowledge and experience with Joint Doctrine and Chairman's Instructions and Manuals.
• Experience designing and developing interactive web-based learning and blended-learning courses.
• Experience with eLearning, curriculum development, and courseware authoring for web-based training and education.
• At least three years of experience as an Instructional Systems Designer developing complex, interactive courseware.
• At least three years of experience with eLearning practices and technology strategies in a military training environment.
• At least three years of experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Education

• No degree required.
• Minimum of four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting Department of Defense training organizations or military schoolhouses.
• Knowledge of Joint Targeting doctrine and processes.
• Experience developing military training under MIL-HDBK-29612.
• Knowledge of Bloom's Revised Taxonomy and adult learning principles.
• Expert proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience developing storyboards and performing instructional product quality assurance.
• The PWS specifically requires expert proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat DC.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess and maintain a final Top Secret clearance with SCI access.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with technical SMEs and military instructors.
• Ability to manage multiple curriculum products and deadlines simultaneously.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Must be able to obtain required installation and Joint Staff facility access.
