Responsibilities

• Assists in the management and daily operations of the Joint Operations Center.
• Maintains cooperative working relationships with Federal, state and public agencies and military units within the state.
• Obtains and exchanges information pertinent to emergency support plans and activities.
• Evaluates, analyzes and disseminates information to the JOC Manager and staff.
• Takes calls from Federal, state and the public and records data.
• Relays information via communications equipment to personnel.
• Monitors radio and analyzes data to detect conditions.
• Maintains log records and keeps JOC equipment ready.
• May brief key staff on significant emergencies and provide situational assessments.
• Activates the JOC and coordinates with agencies during emergencies.
• Ensures classified documents are prepared, reproduced, distributed and stored.
