Job summary

Winchester Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, in Winchester, MA, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neurology team on a full-time hybrid basis. The role splits time between hospital consults and ambulatory clinic care, offering a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient work.

You will diagnose and manage chronic neurological conditions, coordinate care with imaging and multidisciplinary teams, and provide post-discharge follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Massachusetts.
• Board certification required; ACLS/BLS required.
• 1–2 years of neurology, neurosurgery, or hospital medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient (~20%): respond to acute neurology consults, daily rounding, post-stroke care, safe discharge.
• Outpatient (~80%): diagnose/manage migraines, epilepsy, Parkinson's, cognitive disorders; follow-ups.
• Collaborate: order/interpret MRI/CT/EEG imaging; work with multidisciplinary teams.

What You'll Do

• Inpatient (~20%): Respond to acute neurology consults, perform daily rounding, manage post-stroke protocols, and coordinate safe discharge plans.




• Outpatient (~80%): Diagnose and manage chronic conditions (migraines, epilepsy, Parkinson's, cognitive disorders) and handle post-discharge follow-ups.




• Collaborate: Order/interpret neuro-imaging (MRI, CT, EEG) and partner with multidisciplinary teams.

What We're Looking For

• Licensure: Current NP or PA license in Massachusetts (plus DEA & MCSR).




• Certification: Board certified (Acute Care NP preferred for nurses due to inpatient scope; NCCPA for PAs). ACLS/BLS required.




• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in neurology, neurosurgery, or hospital medicine is highly preferred. Passionate APPs looking to specialize are encouraged to apply!

Pay Range:

$113,776.00 USD - $154,752.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
