Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking to connect with seasoned Construction Managers for future opportunities on utility-scale solar projects, with safety, quality, and operational excellence at the core. Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of construction leadership, a degree in construction management or related field, and experience with EPC contracts and field execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible construction experience.
  • Prior experience on utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of EPC contracts, construction sequencing, and field execution.

  • Oversee safety programs including JHAs, LOTO, behavior-based safety, and electrical safety compliance.
  • Field supervision: lead and support trade superintendents and field staff.

WHAT YOU'LL DO (WHEN THE TIME COMES)
  • Safety Leadership Champion a culture of safety across all site activities.
  • Enforce company, federal, and state safety regulations.
  • Oversee programs including JHAs, LOTO, behavior-based safety, and electrical safety compliance.
  • Monitor and audit safety training, orientation, and incident management.
  • Field Supervision & Team Development Lead and support Trade Superintendents, General Superintendents, and field staff.
  • Drive hiring, coaching, performance reviews, and career development.
  • Ensure proper training before work begins and promote work/life balance through rotation planning.
  • Uphold company values and policies across all site operations.
  • Quality Oversight Ensure construction activities meet project specs and quality plans.
  • Promote a culture of personal accountability for quality.
  • Support continuous improvement and quality training across the team.
  • Operational Execution Coordinate project startup, alignment meetings, and subcontractor engagement.
  • Review estimates, labor strategies, and risk/opportunity matrices.
  • Lead daily POD meetings and weekly coordination with supervisors.
  • Ensure contract compliance, schedule alignment, and resource planning.
  • Stakeholder Engagement Build strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Represent the company professionally in all external interactions.
  • Support local hiring efforts, attend public meetings, and participate in job fairs.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressively responsible construction experience.
  • Prior experience on utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of EPC contracts, construction sequencing, and field execution.
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR).
  • Interpersonal skills – Ability to supervise and present information to many employees.
  • Working knowledge of construction equipment and their appropriate applications.
  • Effective communication skills (oral, written, listening, presentation) to effectively work with owners, vendors, employees, landowners, etc.
  • Computer literacy. This does not include knowledge of all software to be used, but the ability to learn to use efficiently the software which is in use.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio).
  • Organization skills.
  • Scheduling, planning and prioritization.
  • Accounting (math and record keeping).
  • Intermediate construction drawing knowledge.
  • Knowledge of drawing layouts, references, notes, and good practices associated with producing and reading construction drawings.
  • Basic general construction knowledge of terminology, crafts, and documents.
  • Ability to follow safety rules without cutting corners.
  • To understand the intent of safety rules, not blindly adhering to the literal words of the rule.
  • Must re-locate to the project site for the duration of each construction project they are assigned to.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must comply with client safety requirements (e.g. long sleeves, steel-toe boots).
  • Must pass a physical exam if required.
  • Able to: Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, and stairways.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work at heights or in confined spaces (e.g., towers, vessels, excavations).
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (Use assistance for heavier loads).
  • Stand or walk for extended periods on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel).
  • Must be able to wear a respirator and other PPE when required.
WORK LOCATION:

Industrial construction sites and/or fabrication shops.

MOBILITY BARRIERS:

PAY EQUITY

$130,000 - $170,000

Primoris Renewable Energy provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. Primoris Renewable Energy reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
