Job summary

A leading agricultural machinery company is seeking a Shop and Field Service Technician. Responsibilities include repairing machinery, generating reports, and using test equipment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, relevant experience, and skills in diagnostics and repairs. Qualifications

• Experience performing troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs to agriculture or heavy equipment.
• Field Service Technician must maintain a valid Driver's License.
• Experience using test equipment and tools to analyze, evaluate, locate and repair problems.
• Experience using test equipment to analyze and repair problems.
• Proficiency with computers, spreadsheets and word processing.
• Valid driver's license per Company/DOT regulations and related paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Repairs machinery and components as per established plans.
• Generates and maintains timely reports for parts ordering and service.
• Uses computer systems to manage work processes.
• Retrieve and return parts via the parts ordering system.
• Use company computer systems to manage work processes.
• Maintain tools and shop equipment; operate major shop equipment safely.
• Interact professionally with co-workers, customers, vendors.

AgRevolution is looking for a Shop and Field Service Technicians for our locations across IN, KY, IL, and Ohio! . These positions are responsible for the repair of machinery and equipment, component assemblies, and parts in the shop, including testing, diagnosing, evaluating, troubleshooting, parts ordering, technical report writing, warranty reporting, maintaining care of company assets, and proper communication with others.

Your Impact

• Repairs equipment and components, including: Development of a repair plan and sequence, Determining necessary parts, materials, tooling, etc. and performing repairs properly and safely, with proper quality assurance testing of repair component or system and machine in a timely and efficient manner.
• Generates, maintains and completes all necessary reports legibly and in a timely fashion for parts ordering, special tooling usage, daily service reports, and work order closure.
• Use and understand proper test equipment to troubleshoot repairs, blueprints, technical data and service manuals.
• Retrieves and returns parts and/or materials through Company’s parts ordering system.
• Uses Company’s computer systems to manage work processes.
• Retrieves and returns special tools as needed. Maintains proper care and use of special tools including major shop equipment, such as but not limited to, air compressor, cleaning tanks, overhead and jib cranes, etc.
• Projects positive behaviors by interacting with co-workers, customers, vendors, suppliers and visitors through constructive working relationships.

Your Experience and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• 0-3 plus years’ experience in similar position.
• Experience performing troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairs to agriculture, construction, off-road or heavy equipment or other similar equipment.
• Experience using test equipment and tools to analyze, evaluate, locate and repair problems.
• Experience with computers, spreadsheets, word processing programs.
• Field Service Technician must maintain a valid Driver's License in compliance with Company and DOT regulations, maintain legally required paperwork including DOT logs. • Uses test equipment to analyze, evaluate and locate problems. Confer with customer and/or supervisor or make independent on the job decisions when necessary.
