Job summary

Delta Solutions & Strategies seeks a Space Activities Synchronization Officer (SASO) to support the USSPACECOM Joint Operations Center at Peterson AFB, CO. The SASO will train with operational crews and provide updates and recommendations for space support to theater operations during each shift.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, the ability to work 24/7, and knowledge of space operations such as SDA, SATCOM, PNT, ISR, or Space Control.

Qualifications

• Ability to work 24/7 operations environment.
• Subject matter expertise in SDA, SATCOM, PNT, ISR, or Space Control.
• Knowledge of DoD, National and Commercial space capabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Train crews to certify in JOC mission areas and operate with new tools.
• Provide Theater Integration support for 24/7 USSPACECOM JOC.
• Provide updates to the Battle Watch Commander on space support to theater operations.
• Coordinate with CSpOC for space support requests and mitigation actions.

Job description

Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking a Space Activities Synchronization Officer (SASO) to support theUnited States Space Command Joint Operations Center at Peterson AFB, CO. This position directly supports USSPACECOM’s Protect and Defend mission by ensuring the JOC Director is ready to conduct operations in the space Joint Operations Area. The SASO will train with and directly support operational crews to provide the Battle Watch Commander with updates and recommendations regarding space support to theater operations throughout each shift.

What you will be doing:

• Training with supported crews to become certified in JOC mission areas and responsibilities – learning new tools and skills – integrating DoD, National and Commercial capabilities enabling the USSPACECOM Protect and Defend mission.
• Providing Theater Integration support for 24/7 USSPACECOM JOC
• Providing status of forces for forward deployed/stationed space capabilities around the globe
• Provide the Chief of Operations with updates and recommendations regarding space support to theater operations.
• Coordinate with the Combined Space Operations Center (CSpOC) for space support requests to identify conflicts and recommend mitigating actions.
• Participate in appropriate telephonic conferences from the JOC floor.

What you will need:

• Ability to work crew shifts supporting a mission essential 24/7 operations environment and contribute to the team’s success
• Ability to provide subject matter expertise in multiple core Space Operations mission areas such as SDA,SATCOM, PNT, ISR, or Space Control
• Knowledge of variousSpace Supportsystem tools such as PDSM,Space Board, GAP-CIE, etc. Hands-on experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn new tools and skills essential to mission success
• The ability to converse with senior officers, share your expertise, and work in a high ops tempo when called upon
• An active TS/SCI Clearance is required to be considered for this position
