Job summary

GMi is seeking a General Superintendent to lead field operations on drywall, framing, and acoustical projects in Texas. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and performance, with daily oversight of crews, subcontractors, and schedule.

You’ll implement safety programs, manage budgets, monitor progress, and coordinate with General Contractors. OSHA 30 preferred, strong communication, and hands-on leadership are essential for success at GMi.

Qualifications

• Must have or be enrolled in OSHA 30 hour.
• Strong history of safety excellence in construction.
• Experience in drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceiling, and exterior cladding trades.
• Effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead jobsite safety by daily inspections and enforcing standards.
• Oversee quality control to meet client requirements.
• Manage field operations to stay on budget and schedule.
• Track production, unit costs, and efficiency opportunities.
• Supervise field personnel, equipment, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Audit payroll accuracy, manpower allocation, and material usage.
• Train and mentor field employees; reinforce policies.
• Build relationships with General Contractors and stakeholders.
• Identify issues early and take decisive action for safety, quality, schedule, and profitability.
• Attend leadership and safety meetings and drive continuous improvement.
