Quantum Gravity Research is a non-profit theoretical physics institute based in Topanga, California. We are currently looking for a 3D computer modeler, with a heavy mathematics background and familiarity with math based programming.
Mathematica and Matlab are the most relevant programs, but we will also consider expertise in programming languages, such as Python and C++, as long as the applicant shows a deep understanding of writing programs to perform mathematical analysis.
The applicant will be asked to perform geometric analysis on quasicrystals and penrose tilings, and investigate the patterns and structures that exist within geometric objects.
This is a part time position, and remote applicants will be considered if they have significant experience.
