Posimech Inc. in Medford, NY, is seeking a Junior Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team. You will help develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes for high-mix, low-volume production while supporting senior engineers and production staff.

This hands-on role offers on-site training, exposure to process optimization, quality systems, and opportunities to contribute to cycle-time reductions and cost improvements in a dynamic job shop environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or near completion).
• Internship, co-op, or hands-on experience in manufacturing or machining preferred.
• Basic knowledge of CNC machining, milling, turning, or fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 is a plus.
• CAD/CAM experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skill.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and documenting manufacturing processes for new and existing parts.
• Help create process sheets, work instructions, and routings.
• Generate CAD drawings and product structures to accurately match and clearly communicate customer requirements.
• Define manufacturing tolerances.
• Support tooling and fixture design for machining and fabrication operations.
• Work with machinists and programmers to improve efficiency and workflow.
• Assist with troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Participate in manufacturability reviews for incoming jobs.
• Help identify opportunities for cycle time reduction and cost improvement.
• Ensure processes follow company quality and safety standards.

This is a full-time on-site role for a motivated Junior Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer who wants to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic job shop manufacturing environment. The position will support senior engineers, machinists and production staff in developing, improving, and documenting manufacturing processes. Candidate will be comfortable working with high-mix, low-volume production and will play a key role in improving efficiency, quality, and throughput.

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed
