Job summary

Damar Services is hiring an Enhanced Acuity Technician in Richmond, IN. This on-site, full-time role involves direct services to children and intensive intervention activities within a multidisciplinary treatment team. Starting pay is $15.25 per hour, with opportunities for experience and education-based increases.

The position includes day and night shifts with rotating weekends, comprehensive benefits, and tuition assistance. A valid Indiana driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

  • Be able to provide formal proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Indiana driver's license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar's insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
  • Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions.
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
  • Favorably meet and maintain Damar's background screening.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates confidence when making decisions in the moment regarding Skills Based Treatment.
  • Completes and updates mandatory training and other licensure related items in a timely manner.
  • Attends mandatory staff meeting and other meetings as assigned.
  • Attends meetings, conferences, and workshops as recommended by the Enhanced Acuity leadership team.
  • Provides direct services to children.
  • Provides support to clients in completing programming goals, ADLs and independent living goals.
  • Operates Damar vehicles and/or personal vehicles to transport clients or perform other work-related duties.
  • Completes incident reports, including reporting any suspected exploitation, abuse, or neglect of a client.
  • Serves as a member of Damar Services' interdisciplinary team.

The Enhanced Acuity Technician is responsible for performing a variety of duties, such as, natural environment training, skills-based treatment, data collection, and intensive intervention services. The Enhanced Acuity Technician is responsible for providing direct support to individuals who reside at Damar Services. They also assist the treatment team, including the Manager, Supervisor, and Director and other members as designated, in the evaluation of clinical services.

Schedule
  • Day shift (7:00 am - 7:30 pm / rotating weekends)
  • Night shift (7:00 pm - 7:30 am / rotating weekends)

(Preferred shift may not be available at time of application.)

Key Responsibilities

  • Be at least 21 to work in our Children's Residential program however, we have Direct Support Professional roles for those between 18-21 so we encourage you to apply for the Direct Support Technician role if you are not 21 or over

Essential Job Functions

The essential functions of this position require the physical ability and mobility needed to perform the job.
