Job summary

Consor, based in Tennessee, seeks a Senior Project Manager in Water/Wastewater to lead planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects while growing client relationships.

You will supervise multidisciplinary teams, manage scopes and budgets, and contribute to business development, SOQs, proposals, and client engagements. This role offers a collaborative culture with opportunities for growth and a blend of on-site and hybrid work.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant water/wastewater engineering experience.
  • PE license in Tennessee or ability to obtain reciprocity.
  • BS in Engineering.
  • Experience managing municipal water/wastewater projects.
  • Planning and design experience with water/wastewater projects.
  • Project management experience including scopes of work, invoicing, and client communications.
  • Proven ability to develop and work with clients to win and deliver municipal projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, design, and delivery of municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, and infrastructure projects.
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with municipal utility clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities within Tennessee water and wastewater market.

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams of Consor staff and subconsultants.

  • Lead or support SOQs, proposals, presentations, and interview teams.
  • Develop technical memoranda, engineering reports, planning studies, and design documents.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership on account management and growth strategies.
  • Represent Consor at conferences, client meetings, and community events.
  • Mentor junior staff and foster a client-service culture.

As a Senior Project Manager - Water/Wastewater, you will serve as both a technical leader and a client relationship manager, responsible for growing and delivering municipal water and wastewater projects throughout Tennessee and the surrounding region. What You\'ll Do:

As a Senior Project Manager in Water/Wastewater, you will lead the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, and infrastructure projects while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and a leader in business development efforts.

  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with municipal utility clients and key stakeholders.

  • Serve as a seller-doer, combining technical leadership with business development and client engagement.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams consisting of Consor staff and subconsultants.
  • Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and overall client satisfaction.
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients throughout planning, design, and construction.
  • Lead or support Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), proposals, presentations, and interview teams.
  • Develop technical memoranda, engineering reports, planning studies, and design documents.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to execute account management and growth strategies.
  • Represent Consor at industry conferences, professional organizations, client meetings, and community events.
  • Mentor junior staff while fostering a culture of client service and business growth.
What You\'ll Need:
  • Minimum of 8+ years relevant water/wastewater engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Tennessee state, or the ability to obtain reciprocity upon employment
  • BS in Engineering
  • Experience managing municipal water/wastewater projects
  • Planning and design experience with water/wastewater projects
  • Project management experience, including developing scopes of work, reviewing invoices, and managing client communications
  • Proven ability to develop and work with clients to help win and deliver municipal projects
