Job summary

Whistle Workwear in Bellingham, WA is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join our growing team. This part-time role focuses on helping customers in-store and by phone, sharing product knowledge, and ensuring shelves are well-stocked and pricing is accurate.

You will greet customers in a friendly manner, process transactions at the register, and contribute to daily sales goals while upholding our standards for service. Sick time and employee discounts are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Bi-lingual a plus.

Responsibilities

Compensation: $19.13 - $20.00 (DOE)

What You’ll be Doing:

• Assist customers with requests in store and over the phone
• Demonstrate knowledge of products and services to customers
• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and polite manner
• Maintain inventory levels and restock shelves as needed
• Complete customers transactions at the cash register, including taking payments, and issuing receipts
• Tag prices on merchandise
• Contribute to team’s daily sales goals

What You’ll Need:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) -required
• 1-2 years of sales experience or customer service experience (preferred)
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Strong orientation towards providing excellent customer service
• Basic math skills
• High attention to detail
• Demonstrated selling skills
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance
• Bi-Lingual a plus
