Job summary

Meritore Technologies LLC in Ashburn, VA, seeks a Data Engineer to join our IT solutions team. You will design and build ETL pipelines, data models, warehouses, and data lakes, and implement cloud data solutions across AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Collaborate with data scientists to ensure data is clean, accessible, and well-governed for analysis and reporting; support BI reporting and meet SLAs while traveling to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Eng/IT with at least 60 months of experience.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document requirements and develop functional specifications focused on ETL and BI.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL data pipelines.
• Implement and manage scalable big data solutions for storage and processing.
• Develop data models, data warehouses, and data lakes.
• Implement cloud data solutions on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data is accessible for analysis and reporting.
• Ensure data quality and consistency across sources and systems.
• Develop automated data processing and monitoring tools.
• Work with cross-functional teams to solve data-related problems.
• Design and develop BI reports based on ad-hoc and functional requirements.
• Provide post-implementation support per SLAs.

Job duties include:

• Gather and document requirements and develop functional specifications with focus on ETL and Business Intelligence.
• Design, develop, maintain data pipelines for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
• Implement and manage big data solutions to store and process large volumes of data.
• Develop, maintain data models, data warehouses, data lakes
• Implement and manage cloud-based data solutions, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure that data is properly structured and accessible for analysis and reporting.
• Ensure data quality and consistency across multiple sources and systems
• Develop and maintain automated data processing and monitoring tools
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and solve data-related problems and challenges
• Design and develop Business Intelligence reports based on ad-hoc and functional requirements.
• Provide post implementation support and resolve critical and high priority tickets as per the SLAs.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Comp Sci, Engg, IT, or related with at least 60 months of experience.

Salary ranges between $175,427.00 to $178,000.00/year.

Travel and relocation to various unanticipated client locations throughout the United States may be required.
