Achievement House in San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking a Job Developer to help adults with disabilities gain meaningful employment. You will connect clients with local employers, provide on-the-job training, and coordinate with Job Coaches to place people in roles.

This role offers flexible scheduling including days, evenings, and weekends, a $24.00 per hour pay, and a $250 sign-on bonus. You will maintain records, conduct job market research, and promote inclusive workplaces in the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Proof of current auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a DOJ/FBI fingerprint background check.
• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable with public interaction.
• Experience working with people with disabilities or transferable skills from sales, customer service, or community outreach.
• Organized, self-motivated, and strong time management skills.
• Basic technology and computer skills.
• Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with adults with disabilities to identify employment goals and provide hands-on job training and vocational instruction.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local employers to create job opportunities for clients.
• Conduct job market research and analyze employment trends to inform job placement strategies.
• Coordinate with Job Coaches to ensure successful job placements and ongoing support for clients.
• Facilitate Job Preparation classes and quarterly job club events to enhance clients' workplace readiness.
• Participate in community outreach and employment-related events to promote program awareness.
• Maintain accurate records, evaluations, and documentation related to client progress and employer partnerships.
• Place at least two clients in employment per quarter, when referrals are available.

Compensation

$24.00 per hour with a $250 sign-on bonus. Flexible scheduling is required, including days, evenings, and weekends.
