Job summary

Community Options, Inc. in Las Vegas, New Mexico, is hiring a Part-Time Job Coach to support individuals with disabilities in achieving independent employment. This role involves on-site coaching, job task analysis, and collaboration with families and professionals.

Starting pay is $16.80 per hour with about 10 hours of work per week. The job emphasizes safety, documentation, and building supportive networks; flexibility and a compassionate approach are valued.

Responsibilities

• Work side-by-side with individuals at the job site, analyzing the job requirements and breaking it into manageable components that can be taught to the individual
• Build a support network between the individual and community members
• Communicate individual’s progress to the employer and support people, including family, residential staff, and other professionals
• Accurately complete all documentation
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
• Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation

We are now hiring a Part-Time Job Coach in Las Vegas, New Mexico.

Starting Pay: $16.80hr

Schedule: about 10 hours a week

Responsibilities

• Teach individuals independent job skills, requirements utilizing job task analysis, job specific supports, including assistive technology and personal assistance
• Work side-by-side with individuals at the job site, analyzing the job requirements and breaking it into manageable components that can be taught to the individual

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years’ full-time work experience in employment or related field
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
• Ability to analyze a job and break it into manageable components
• Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in a crisis situation
• Ability to present ideas and factual data in a clear concise manner
• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals
• Ability to read and write English
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
