Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 semester hours or associate’s degree in any discipline plus bus driver's license.
• CDL Bus license required and must drive a bus when needed.
• Transcripts showing degree earned or 48 college credits; resume required.

Responsibilities

• Understands the jobs for which students are engaged.
• Conducts a task analysis of skills required for a particular job(s).
• Trains and coaches the disabled student to meet job employer standards.
• Collaborates with teacher as student skills are mastered concerning student progress toward transition goals.
• Completes evaluation forms on each student for each job site to share with teacher.
• Collects data to monitor acquisition of job skills and document job training hours.
• Collaborates with teacher to resolve obstacles to student work performance, e.g., social interaction conflicts, transportation and changes in the job.
• Participates in transition team meetings for input on student progress toward Individual Transition Program goals.
• Transports students via school system Transportation Program.
• Obtains and maintains CDL license.
• Completes pre-trip and post-trip inspection.
• Drives a bus when needed while maintaining proficiency in driving skills.
• Maintains bus route schedule.
• Maintains discipline and reports undisciplined students to school administration.
• Discharge students only at authorized stops and transport only authorized students.
• Complies with local and state traffic regulations and observes all safety regulations.
• Reports delays and accidents.
• Cleans the interior of the bus.
• Serves as team player and upholds organizational core values.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
