Job summary

Northern Impact in Newport Beach is seeking an experienced Job Captain (Intermediate to Senior) to lead construction document production across all project phases. The role emphasizes organization, coordination with engineers, and ensuring code compliance for educational facilities.

Candidates should have 5+ years in architectural projects, strong Revit skills, and a proven ability to work collaboratively with consultants and clients in a fast-paced studio environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of post professional experience in all phases of architectural projects (Open to Senior levels including 10+ Years)
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Preference for experience in educational projects and Division of the State Architect (DSA) regulations.
• Proficiency in using Revit Architecture is a must.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, or other 3D Modeling, Animation, and Rendering computer graphics programs is a valuable asset.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Proficient in interpreting architectural drawings.
• Preference given to candidates with extensive construction document experience.

Responsibilities

• Organize public bid projects from schematic design through bidding phases.
• Conduct Code research to ensure compliance with DSA or other jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with consultant engineers for document integration.
• Interact with clients to incorporate their needs into project documents.
• Provide support for tasks essential to project completion.
• Craft project construction documents with precision and detail.
• Coordinate document preparation with consultants, contractors, and team members.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for document compliance.
