Job summary

Lionakis in Sacramento is seeking a Job Captain to lead the production and coordination of construction documents for civic and publicly funded projects. The role requires collaboration with project architects to address design, program, and regulatory requirements across all project phases.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of relevant experience, proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office, and a track record with California civic projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 years of architectural project experience.

Responsibilities

An ideal candidate will serve as a primary technical resource to project teams, consistently apply and deepen their understanding of general concepts, standards, and team dynamics, and offer high-level technical and design documentation support. As a Job Captain, you will:

• Monitor the production and coordination of construction documents, ensuring alignment withcodes, standards, and consultant work.
• Collaborate with project architects to resolve design, program, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors across all project phases to maintain project continuity.
• Support development of bid and construction packages and assist with construction administration activities.
• Track and communicate impacts to scope, budget, schedule, and risk, including client or consultant-driven changes.
• Contribute to project planning, enforce QA/QC standards,while upholding The Lionakis Way standards for designand production.
• Delegate tasks, mentor junior staff, and support team deliverables, presentations, and multi-project workflows.

The Must-Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent, and a minimum of 6 years of architectural project experience.
• Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Professional experience within civic and publicly fundedprojects in California, beyond internship experience. (I.e.- Courthouses, fire stations, police stations, rehabilitation centers, state office buildings, water intake structures, etc.)

The Like-to-Haves

• Proficiency with Bluebeam.
• Advanced proficiency in construction administration
• Skilled in using Sketch-Up or other 3D program(s) like Photoshop.
• LEED or WELL accreditation

Salary Range:$90,100-$119,200 annually.Compensation and level DOE.
