Job description

Provide safe, efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment in an Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration Plant, including but not limited to ammonia equipment, high pressure boiler systems, compressed air equipment, HVAC equipment, etc. Support our maintenance department projects, daily activities, and other departments deemed necessary.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Provide safe, efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment in an Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration Plant.
  2. Provide functional support to maintenance department projects and daily activities.
  3. Provide support to all other departments as deemed necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Second Class B boiler license.
  2. Knowledge and experience with the safe operation and maintenance of refrigeration equipment using ammonia, Freon, or carbon dioxide as refrigerants.
  3. Possess good mechanical aptitude.
  4. Good attendance.
  5. Able to work well with a group or alone on any shift required.
  6. Continuous demonstration of safe and efficient work habits.
  7. Must have good oral and written communication and planning skills.
  8. Able to work in cold, wet, or hot environments and able to lift 60 pounds.
  9. Ability to work with heights and confined spaces.
  10. Must be able to pass a lung function test to be certified to wear a self-contained breathing apparatus or gas mask which requires no facial hair in areas where the face mask seals against the face.
  11. High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Two years vo-tech training or four years’ experience in industrial maintenance and refrigeration.
  2. One year working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration theory and design.
  3. Second Class B Boiler license or higher.

Compensation

Competitive wages! Hourly wages range from $29.50 to $41.25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Work schedule includes a standard 8-hour shift with weekend shifts available.
