Job summary

Jefferson Health seeks an experienced Dental Surgical Assistant to support the Department of Oral Surgery. Float between Center City and Bryn Mawr, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, providing chairside surgical support to OMFS and facial pain physicians.

Responsibilities include instrument sterilization, radiographs, sterile technique, and maintaining logs for inspections per OMFS workflows, with compliance to Joint Commission and OSHA standards. BLS current is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a dental surgical assistant in a hospital/ OMFS setting.
• Ability to take, develop and label radiographs (CBCT, periapical, Panorex).
• Maintain sterile technique during OMFS procedures and prepare tray setups.
• Maintain logs for inspections and certifications per OMFS workflows.
• BLS certification current and compliant with safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside surgical support to OMFS and facial pain physicians.
• Sterilize instruments and prepare sterile tray setups for procedures.
• Manage radiographs and imaging as required (CBCT, Panorex).
• Maintain logs for inspections and regulatory workflows.
• Adhere to Joint Commission, OSHA, ADA policies and hospital safety.

JeffTemps is seeking an experienced Dental Surgical Assistant to support the department of Oral Surgery in a temporary capacity. Locations: Float between Center City and Bryn Mawr as needed Schedule: M-F, 8am-4:30pm Dental Surgical Assistant to members of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the resident staff. Provide chairside surgical support to the oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures and the facial pain physicians. Performs a wide variety of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures with competency.**Job Description*** Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.* Provide surgical support to the oral and maxillofacial surgeon chairside for surgery procedures as well as facial pain physicians.* Maintain all logs necessary for inspections and certifications* Sterilize instrumentation and prepare tray setups.
