Job summary

Journeys Group is hiring Seasonal JDC Associates to support our busy holiday season. The roles involve picking, replenishment, receiving and shipping tasks in a warehouse, with hands-on training provided. Employees may receive weekly bonuses and discounts, with potential transition to full-time roles later.

Candidates should be at least 18, able to stand and lift up to 45 lbs, and commit to a reliable schedule in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Pickers follow routes via handheld scanner to collect product and place into cartons for shipment
• Replenishment: refill locations to ensure stock is available for daily shipments
• Receiving: unload trailers and organize product onto pallets
• Shipping: load trailers with product destined for customers and stores
• Perform multiple warehouse tasks that vary daily, weekly and monthly
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety and operate in a team environment

Job description

We are interested in bringing new employees in for our holiday season to assist with the increased workload. Our Seasonal JDC Associates are eligible to receive weekly pay bonuses, employee discounts, student incentive pay, access to employee gym, and offers the opportunity to move into a Full-time positions in the future.

This position is a great fit for anyone who has experience or is interested in logistics and distribution fields. This position will be given thorough hands-on training. A seasonal position is for anyone interested in a Summer job to assist in completing the workload of our busy season.

Expectations

• Stand, bend, stoop, and walk on concrete and grated floors for the entirety of your shift, lift up to 45lbs. and climb stairs.
• Being reliable and consistent with your schedule and work hours.
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Help keep the warehouse clean and safe.
• Utilize a hand-held computer for various functions and departments.
• Perform multiple tasks within the warehouse that could vary daily, weekly and monthly.

The most common jobs that are performed by our employees are as follows:

Picking – Pickers follow instructions given to them via a handheld scanning computer and go to various "locations" throughout the warehouse to place product into cartons that are then shipped to customers and stores.

Replenishment – Replenishers refill the locations that Pickers take product from, ensuring there is enough product in each "location" to be able to send out every day.

Receiving – The receiving team work together to unload trailers and organize the boxes of product onto pallets.

Shipping – A shipper's job is to load trailer with product that will be going to our customers and stores.
