Job summary

Yulista is seeking a Material Handling Laborer to perform physical tasks transporting and storing furnishings and appliances, loading, unloading, verifying against service orders, and assisting technicians and customers on-site.

You will operate material moving equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, participate in weekly forklift maintenance, maintain inventory accuracy, and deliver strong customer service while following safety rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years specialized experience in DoD preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of standard warehouse loading and storage techniques required.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and deliver furnishings and appliances to customers.
• Receive furnishings into an organization and verify against service orders for accuracy.
• Responsible for inventory shipments and noting discrepancies.
• Route furnishings to storage locations; assist Appliance Technician in repairs and delivery.
• Use material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and dollies.
• Assist in weekly forklift maintenance.
• Unload furniture/appliances from shipping containers.
• Possess the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must use bar coding system; maintain strong customer service.
• May perform inventory of property.

Tunista Services LLC Regular PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Material Handling Laborer is responsible for performing physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Loading, unloading and delivery of furnishings and appliances to customers.
• Receive furnishings into an organization and verify furnishings against service orders to ensure the accuracy of the delivery.
• Responsible for the inventory shipments and notating any discrepancies.
• Routing furnishings to storage location
• Assisting Appliance Technician in repairs and delivery
• Workers may use material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and dollies to bring furnishings to an appropriate location.
• Assisting in weekly forklift maintenance
• Cleaning and repairing furnishings
• Unloading furniture/appliances from shipping containers
• Ability to lift 75 Pounds
• Must be able to use the bar coding system
• Strong Customer Service Skills
• May be required to perform inventory of property

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks. This position is directly tasked by the Warehouse Lead.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

• Beginner to intermediate computer skills; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs.
• Ability to enter data accurately into databases.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with customers and other crew members.
• Must possess effective communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.
• Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.
• Ability to follow a process.
• Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.
• Strong decision analysis and problem solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.
• Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to Tunista Services goals.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
• High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently
• Ability to multi-task

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2 years specialized experience in DoD preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of standard warehouse loading and storage techniques required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted is required
• Ability to pass DoD background investigation required
