TEKsystems partners with a financial services technology client to hire a backend-focused JavaScript/Node.js developer in Lincoln, Nebraska. The role involves building backend microservices, APIs, and cloud-based services in an Agile team.

The ideal candidate has 1–3+ years of professional experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript, and is comfortable with REST, databases, Docker, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js.
• Experience with JavaScript (ES6+) and/or TypeScript.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming concepts, promises and Node.js event loop.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Docker or containerized applications.

Project Overview

The team is modernizing and expanding a cloud-native financial services platform focused on scalability, performance, and customer experience. This developer will contribute to the creation of backend microservices, integrations, and APIs that power critical business functions across the platform.

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
