Job summary

UN Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict seeks a JavaScript Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain web applications. The successful candidate will work closely with developers, designers, product managers, and other teams to build reliable, responsive, and user-friendly applications.

You will collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend developers, participate in code reviews, and stay current with JavaScript technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• 0–3 years of experience in JavaScript development, including internships or academic projects.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript features and development practices.
• Experience with at least one framework or library such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and web application architecture.
• Familiarity with Git and version control.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
