Job summary

Contact Government Services (CGS) seeks a Java Developer to join a team enhancing data utilization for a large state-run project. The role focuses on aggregating data, planning collection, processing, storage, and reporting within enterprise systems and JSF-based web applications.

The candidate should have deep Java expertise, experience with data integration, and the ability to work independently or on a team, contributing to a collaborative government-facing tech environment with opportunities

Qualifications

• Three years of experience developing Java web applications using the Java Server Faces Framework.
• Five years of experience in Java web UI design and implementation including HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
• Three years of SQL relational database design and coding experience with Hibernate.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business analyst and developers to produce software designs.
• Provide work estimates to project manager and update status against the project work plan.
• Formulate program specifications and prototypes for new features.
• Transform software designs and specifications into high functioning code in Java and related web technologies.
• Integrate individual software solutions into higher level systems.
• Use web-based tools to create and advance applications.
• Test code periodically to ensure correct results and debug as needed.
• Collaborate with business, development, and QA teams to develop testing and acceptance procedures.
• Perform upgrades to improve security and efficiency of software and systems.
• Provide training, knowledge transfer, and documentation for user support.
