Job summary

Infosys Limited is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 in Richardson, TX to drive quality engineering across the software development life cycle. You will document requirements, guide design discussions, and contribute to coding and testing, ensuring robust, scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes test strategy, CI/CD, and cross-functional collaboration, with opportunities to lead QE efforts and mentor teams in an agile environment. Relocation/travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements elicitation by documenting assigned parts of business requirements.
• Facilitate software design discussions and document design decisions for the technical team.

• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks for new software.
• Resolve production issues and propose preventive strategies to enhance reliability.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skill and Experience

Quality Engineering leadership, Java, Java Microservices testing, REST API testing, REST Assured, Selenium, automated test framework development, functional and integration testing, SQL/database validation, CI/CD and Jenkins, defect management, Agile/Scrum, test strategy and execution.

Preferred Skill and Experience

Telecom OSS/BSS domain experience, Kafka/event-driven application testing, Docker/Kubernetes, AWS/cloud testing, performance testing using JMeter, Cucumber/BDD, JUnit/TestNG, Git, SonarQube, end-to-end microservices testing, and experience leading QE teams.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
