Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Java Software Engineer to support a Government Consulting company in Herndon, VA, on a 100% onsite basis. The role focuses on delivering Agile DevOps support for mission-critical systems and developing enterprise software, cloud environments, and operational tools.

You will collaborate across teams, participate in design, coding, testing, and maintenance, and ensure secure, scalable solutions while working within TS/SCI security constraints.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java software development.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and methodologies.
• Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
• Background working within Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Active TS/SCI clearance required with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Poly.

The Java Software Engineer will provide Agile DevOps support for mission‑critical systems while developing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise software, cloud environments, and operational tools.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software systems, tools, and applications within a DevOps environment
• Support the full software development lifecycle, including scoping, design, coding, testing, and implementation
• Deliver Agile DevOps support for mission‑critical and cloud‑based systems

Compensation:

• Salary: Up to $200,000, (some flexibility depending on experience)
