Job summary

IERUS Technologies Inc. in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Software Engineer to join a large Missile Defense Agency program. You will develop Java-based enterprise applications, support system software, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a BS in engineering, math, or CS, 5+ years of experience, an active Secret clearance, and strong communication skills. Experience with Linux, microservices, DevSecOps, and RMF is valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent combination and 5+ years of relevant experience.
Active Secret clearance.
Experience with Linux, Java, and enterprise applications.
Strong communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments.
Experience with Maven, Git/GitHub, Nexus, and Eclipse.
Knowledge of DoD RMF/Cyber security and SysML.
Experience leading small software teams (Agile).

Responsibilities

Develop Java software for Huntsville Regional Applications teams (Battle Management, System-Arch, or Track Server).
Provide specialized expertise across multiple systems and software disciplines and cross-domain knowledge.
Analyze and support complex system software, including debugging and testing.
Maintain, debug, and configure related software products.
Translate specifications into OS software development.
Assist design, coding, benchmarking, debugging, and documentation; collaborate across teams.
May lead small software teams on projects.
