Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an experienced software engineer to develop secure, high-quality production code and review others’ work. You will drive product design decisions and operate across the SDLC as a functional expert, influencing architecture and engineering practices.

You will apply enterprise AI-assisted development tools responsibly, contribute to firmwide frameworks, and help sustain 24x7 tier-1 online services while upholding security and resiliency standards.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
• Strong core engineering skills: hands‑on coding and system design for modern enterprise systems.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Java, Golang or Rust
• Proven track record building and operating 24x7, tier‑1 online services.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Demonstrated experience in effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting)
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently
