Job summary

Capstone Consulting is seeking a Java Engineer to design, develop, and support modern enterprise applications in the United States. The role emphasizes cloud-native architectures, microservices, APIs, and event-driven systems with collaboration across business and technical teams.

The focus is on back-end and middleware work to connect legacy systems to new platforms, including CI/CD, testing, and ongoing modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience in enterprise environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a US-accredited university.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Kafka, MongoDB, Docker/Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, integration, and support of enterprise applications and services.
• Build scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React.
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop and support event-driven solutions and messaging integrations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and external vendors to deliver technology solutions.
• Evaluate technical approaches and recommend scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Build and maintain automated testing frameworks and quality processes.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and DevOps best practices.
• Mentor team members and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.

Capstone IT is helping our client to hire a Java Engineer to design, develop, and support modern enterprise applications that drive business growth initiatives. This role requires strong experience building cloud-native applications, microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, and modern user interfaces while collaborating across business and technical teams.

This is new development with a focus on back end and middleware to connect existing legacy systems to new systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, integration, and support of enterprise applications and services.
• Build scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React.
