Job summary

BCforward is seeking an experienced Java/Spring Boot engineer to join our team in a W2 role focused on building scalable, secure enterprise applications. You will design and implement microservices, leverage AWS services, and drive CI/CD automation.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, Kubernetes, and Cassandra, and will participate in code reviews and architectural discussions to deliver high-quality software.

Qualifications

• Develops secure, scalable production code across Java/Spring Boot microservices.
• Reviews and debugs code; enforces coding standards and best practices.
• Drives software design decisions and CI/CD automation to improve deployment.
• Works with distributed databases and cloud services to deliver resilient systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java/Spring Boot.
• Design and implement microservices architectures and APIs.
• Leverage AWS services (SQS, Lambda, S3, RDS) and Kubernetes for deployments.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.

Must Have Skills:

• Extensive hands-on experience with Java, spring boot.
• Strong experience designing and developing applications using Microservices Architecture.
• Proven expertise in Java and Spring Boot for enterprise application development.
• Experience with AWS services such as SQS, Lambda, S3, and RDS.
• Experience working with Kubernetes and containerized application deployments.
• Strong knowledge of Cassandra or other large-scale distributed databases.
• Develops secure, scalable, and high-quality production code; reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Drives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations/processes.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, design patterns, and CI/CD pipelines.
