Job summary

Infosys Limited is hiring a QA Automation Engineer in the United States to contribute to automated testing across banking and financial services applications. You will design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Playwright, ensuring robust test coverage.

The role engages with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment and may involve relocation for project work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution; three years of progressive experience in lieu of education.
• Experience documenting requirements and guiding software design discussions.
• Experience in coding, integrating features, and maintaining code repositories.
• Experience executing automated test suites and analyzing results for bugs and performance issues.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test management tools in Agile projects.

Responsibilities

• Document assigned parts of business requirements and guide the technical team.
• Facilitate design discussions and record decisions for the software solution.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
• Execute automated tests and coordinate bug fixes to uphold quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skill and Experience

• Core Java, Playwright, Selenium test automation experience.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to understand requirements and translate them into test cases.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify bugs and performance issues.
• Maintain and enhance the automation framework for scalability and reusability.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Document test results, log defects, and track them to closure using tools like JIRA Or other test management tools
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives in an Agile environment.
• Ensure test coverage, traceability, and adherence to QA best practices.

Preferred Skill and Experience

• Knowledge of SQL database.

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
