Job summary

Infosys Limited in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Technology Consultant 2 to contribute to automated testing initiatives using Selenium-Java and Playwright-Typescript. You will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to translate requirements into test cases and implement robust automation.

The role involves participating in SDLC, building and maintaining automation frameworks, integrating tests with CI/CD pipelines, and supporting production issue resolution to ensure software

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
• Minimum one year of related experience in automated testing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Selenium, and test automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements elicitation by documenting parts of business requirements.
• Facilitate design discussions and document decisions for the technical team.
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications to maintain stability.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain code repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes.
• Develop user training materials and support frameworks for new software applications.
• Resolve production issues and suggest preventive measures to enhance reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skill and Experience

• Core Java, Playwright Typescript, Selenium test automation experience.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to understand requirements and translate them into test cases.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify bugs and performance issues.
• Maintain and enhance the automation framework for scalability and reusability.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Document test results, log defects, and track them to closure using tools like JIRA Or other test management tools
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives in an Agile environment.
• Ensure test coverage, traceability, and adherence to QA best practices.

Preferred Skill and Experience

Knowledge of SQL database.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
