Qualifications

Job Overview

Event Master Central is Citi’s centralized corporate action event repository and distribution platform that consolidates corporate action announcements and notifications from various vendors with cross-business operational process. As a critical pillar within the Master Reference Data (MRD) and the broader Citi Enterprise Data Organization (EDO), our team is responsible for modernising and managing the end-to-end lifecycle of corporate Action events across the enterprise.

Role Overview/What will you do:

• Develop and implement complex software solutions using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust microservices adhering to architectural best practices.
• Apply hands-on expertise in Core Java, including multi-threading and the Collections framework.
• Utilise Spring Framework effectively for application development.
• Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices, object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, and design patterns.
• Contribute to the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Manage source code effectively using tools such as Git or Bitbucket.
• Promote and apply clean coding principles and maintain high quality using tools like Sonar.
• Design and implement comprehensive unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure solution quality.
• Analyse and solve complex technical problems efficiently.
• Work with a team of application developers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Skills and Experience required:

• Experience in developing and implementing complex software solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services (XML, JSON).

• Experience with Container Orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.).
• Proficiency in using Jira for tracking tasks, managing backlogs, and participating in sprint cycles.
